Being seven years old means that Kiyah loves balloons. And I just love it that she loves them! It's so cute to see how excited a child gets over a piece of air tight material filled with air. It brings smiles every time.

Kiyah and I found these balloons on Amazon. We ordered them and then waited patiently for them to arrive. She was practically jumping for joy when we filled them with helium and they floated up to the ceiling.

When we found some ribbon to hold them earth-bound, Kiyah discovered that different lengths of ribbon made them float differently. A lot of ribbon held them closer to the ground, less ribbon allowed them to float higher.

We found some cute clothing to match it and headed out to photograph the balloon. Of course we got Kiyah holding it:) The wind was blowing a lot and she had to hold onto it rather tightly. We had fun even though the balloon kept bopping her in the head.

Unfortunately the balloon popped just as we were leaving. Fortunately we had more at home as the package contained 12. A bit of chocolate cheered her up till we got home.
