CAWS.org's Van Wrap

CAWS is getting a van wrap! We volunteers are so excited!

We needed some cat and dog portraits with the background dropped out for the van wrap people to design the wrap with. (That means the background is white) Neither Jen, Stacey or I had much experience dropping out the background so it was exciting to learn, and a wee bit crazy too because we could not fail.

The room we use for our studio is at PetSmart and it's a tiny room. It's about 71" wide and maybe 10' long. We managed to get three strobes in there, a backdrop, the white roll of backdrop paper, the photographers, various people who had brought their cats and dogs to get their portraits made, and a couple of other volunteers. Can you say "hot?" How about "claustrophobia?"

The shoot ran for 4 hours. It was a ton of fun! The van wrap gets printed in a few days and I'm so excited to see how it looks!

Below are the portraits I made.

Thanks for stopping by:)

And...ta-dah! It's done!
