I'm from Scotland. I really miss it. So when the Scottish Festival comes around each year at Thanksgiving Point, I go.

Yesterday, Kiyah, Joay, my mother and I went. We had a great time!. The amount of Scottish booths has increased considerably in the last few years. When I first started attending, about 29 years ago, the festival was a lot smaller. Now it's an enoumous event. On the plus side, getting bigger means there is more to see. The down side is that years ago the Scottish food was home-made and sold by ladies from Scotland. I'm not sure where they are acquiring the Scottish food from now but it's spicy. As a child, meat pies and sausage rolls were not spicy. I may have to make some myself. It takes a considerable amount of time though. The pastry alone is day-long event. Well that's an exaggeration, but rrrrol up yerrr sleeves and git rready to wurrk! And of course now that I'm gluten free I've got an even bigger challenge. (I didn't eat them at the festival yesterday but did have them a few years ago before I was gluten-free) I didn't go there for the food though so we had a lot of fun.

Here is Kiyah drinking a lemonade. Sometimes you have to grab those shots while they're not bouncing off the walls:) Although after a lemonade, be prepared for a chase.

I grabbed some snapshots too. These are not great photos as I didn't feel I could start posing strangers. I also had my wee little girrrl to watch, so just fast pics:) But they remind me of the day anyway, so here they are:)
