Isn't She Lovely

I met Rachel when she was only four years old. She was, and still is my niece's friend. I have an image in my head of a tiny little girl with long, dark, curly hair. She had beautiful, soulful eyes. She was quiet and thoughtful, and just a treasure to be around.

A few years ago she asked me to create her bridal portraits. I was thrilled she asked! She brought her mother along and together we made her beautiful photographs.

Last week I was looking though photographs from the last few years and I came across Rachel's bridal portraits. I needed to paint one of them. It's not just I wanted to paint one. I just had to! I chose which one and got started on it right away. Three days later I was finished. I posted it on Rachel's Facebook page. It was also her birthday. She saw the painting and loved it! 

For her birthday gift I am giving her the painting.
