Pony Graphite Drawing

I drew this pony with the aid of a book that shows you how to draw baby animals.  It's called Baby Animals by Cindy Smith.

The book makes it look easy, which is why I bought it. But like many other things in life, it was not as easy as it looks. It took me about a week. I have to admit that I can only draw for about 2 hours at a time before my hand gets sore. There are a ton of tiny lines for hairs on that foal. I guess I need to build some muscles in my hand.

I think I'll give the lamb a try next. It has a fuzzy kind of hair. It might give some other muscles a work out and let the pony muscles take a rest.

I got an idea to draw an astronaut for my hubby for Christmas. Not sure I've got enough time at this point. But I may give it a shot:)
