It's just crazy that we (CAWS- Community Animal Welfare Society) have kittens in December! What ever happened to Kitten Season? It's gone way over the cut off date.

Needless to say, we have kittens and cats that would LOVE a home by Christmas! If you're interested in having a new family member, please come to one of our events.

I made this portrait today with the help of Stacey Mikesell and Lori Greco, two other CAWS photographers.  I manned the camera while Lori and Stacey played cat wrangler. It's actually impossible to click the camera fast enough to get a photo of a cat when you have the cat(s) set in position and looking in the correct direction. They moves the second you move your hand away from them. The cats(s) have to decide to stay put for at least a second. They often don't want to do that. With the three of us, along with four cats that had decided it was time to just hold still for a second, we got our portrait. Thirty shots later, we were elated to have our group portrait. Well worth the effort!
