Gray Cane Corso Puppy -IllustrationI really, really wanted this pup to turn out well but alas it was not to be. I did learn a few things while I was drawing so it wasn't a complete loss. When I was learning photography I made so many bad photos! But I learned something new every time. That's how we get better.
I learned how to loosen up on the brush strokes a bit. I am not interested in photo-realism and want more choppy strokes. It's hard to let go and not try to have the result look real for some reason. Okay! Back to the drawing board! Source photograph for my illustration created by Erik Lam. A license was purchased to use the photograph as my source photo. The photographer was paid.
