There's something about those still life images that draw me in. Specifically the old master's paintings. I love the colors they used. I didn't use those colors with the Pear illustration, but will try to learn how the Masters decided on colors. There's got to be a book out there somewhere!

Izobel, my 12 year old daughter, said she'd love to take a bite out of the pears when I showed her this one. Pears are so delicious! Why is it though that I tend to grab the apples, oranges and bananas? Human's are creatures of habit. It's helped us survive. Of course habit can be a curse as well because we can stick to the same old routine instead of branching out. There are certainly books available on how to succeed and breaking old habits and making new ones are a large part of the process. It's a matter of retraining the brain. Sounds easy enough:)
