Pets Are Forever Family -Drawing

Puppies are adorable! I've fostered so many of them, and I loved each and every one.

It's heartbreaking to know that every single one of them, and their mothers, were dropped off at the shelter. Some of the puppies I have fostered were no more than 24 hours old. I just can't understand why people would allow their dogs to get pregnant and then drop them off at a germy, scary, building with their young. I've held puppies in my hand as they died from kennel cough that they picked up at the shelter. They were too young to fight the virus.

Another issue is when puppies are adopted and then taken to the shelter once they reach adulthood. A decision to bring home a dog is a serious one. It means the dog needs the family for the rest of her or his life. Dogs grieve when they are abandoned. They have feelings just like we do.

Spread the word as far as you can. Families are forever, and that includes any pets that are brought home. You will be saving lives:)
